Overview

MyShelf ("we", "our") lets you track and share your personal media collection (movies, TV, books, games, anime, manga). This page explains what data we collect and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account name and profile picture.
• Content you add: your media collection, ratings, reviews, comments, lists, and activity you choose to share with other users.
• Optional third-party connections you enable yourself, such as Steam, to import your library.
• Basic technical data (e.g. theme preference, session cookies) needed to operate the app.

How we use your information

We use your data solely to provide the app's features: storing your collection, displaying your profile and activity to other users according to your privacy settings, and authenticating you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

We use Supabase to store account and collection data, and Google Sign-In for authentication. To display media information we query public catalog APIs (TMDB, RAWG, Google Books, Jikan/MyAnimeList) — these lookups do not include any of your personal information.

Your choices

You control who can see your library via the visibility setting in your profile settings (public, friends-only, or private). You can disconnect third-party integrations, edit or delete your content, or delete your account at any time by contacting us below.
